YogaBears

At YogaBears our mission is to use yoga to develop the mind, body and soul, creating a holistic sense of oneness within each and every child through teaching them the ABC’s of yoga. It is a unique approach to mindfulness for children, aged 3-11 years using 7 different coloured bears.

These bears are used to teach our children about their Superpowers and to help them reach their full potential. These Superpowers are happiness❤️ friendship 🧡 strength 💛 love 💚 truth 💙 dreams 💜 and freedom 🌈

At YogaBears we encourage every child to go at their own pace to allow every individual to thrive. Empowering them all to honour their innate “Superpowers” they are born with.

Music with Mummy

A Music education programme for preschool children.

Take your child on a musical journey from birth until they go to school. Enjoy music, singing, dancing and special time with your little one. Music with Mummy incorporates loads of catchy original songs as well as traditional nursery rhymes. We also encourage vocabulary development through song, listening skills, movement to beat, instrument playing and gross motor development for babies.

Jolly Babies is specifically designed for the 1s and under while Music with Mummy is for ages 1 to 4.

Classes are pre-bookable per half term and aligned to the school calendar.

Tea Dance

Tea danceOur dance classes have been running for over 30 years. We cover ballroom and sequence dances as well as providing tasty tea and biscuits. Further more, dancing is an excellent way to keep the brain and body active.

In the Victoria Hall on Wednesday 2pm – 4pm.

Fitness and Wellbeing

Phoenix Martial Arts

Class demonstrating martial arts.Kickboxing takes place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in two groups:

  1. 6.30pm – 7.30pm for 4 to 12 year olds with the aim of introducing Kickboxing and Kungfu, and to develop through the dan belt syllabus.
  2. 7.45pm – 9.15pm on Tuesdays and 7.30pm to 9.00pm on Thursdays for all other ages.

Sue Lott’s Exercise Classes

Sue Lott's Exercise ClassesClasses are Pilates based with a warm up, stretch, mat work and cool down / relaxation. Suitable for beginners to intermediate and aim to improve awareness, strength and flexibility. Friday’s sessions are slower paced and contain mindfulness with closer emphasis on good alignment and execution.

Monday and Thursday 9.30am – 10.30am.
Friday 8.55am – 9.55am & 10.05am – 11.05am.

Coffee & ConnectAn independent networking group for local businesses, held on the first Wednesday of the month (excluding August) in the Victoria Hall.

Meetings are relaxed and friendly, and first time visitors are welcome. We each have 30 seconds to introduce ourselves and our business. After that we stay and chat.

People travel from Farnham and Camberley in Surrey. And Fleet, Farnborough, Hartley Wintney, Hook, Odiham and Basingstoke in Hampshire.

Rose’s Watercolour Workshops

A Watercolour Group for beginners to improvers. A relaxed enjoyable workshop with an opportunity to learn with a like-minded group. We cover a range of topics including Specialist Watercolour Techniques, Colour Theory, how to reference our work and how to make a successful composition.  Bespoke handouts and online free resources are also provided with the course.
Classes follow all Covid guidelines with social distancing and cleaning.

Art Group

U3A art classA friendly art class welcoming all levels where we use oil, watercolour, acrylics and pastels. At the beginning of the class our tutor, Liz Gynn, demonstrates an aspect of art. After that, we either build on that technique or work on our own. Liz does a great job of helping, advising and encouraging us.

Photography

U3A photography classOur meetings usually begin with members exhibiting their photos. After that, we discuss and provide constructive feedback to help us improve. Finally, we listen to a tutorial covering an aspect of photography and occasionally we go on a field trip.
